Brian RoganBrian Rogan is Chief Risk Officer of BNY Mellon, overseeing credit, operational and market risk management. BNY Mellon is the corporate brand of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation (NYSE:BK). Prior to assuming his current role in July 2008, he was Chief Executive Officer of Issuer, Treasury and Broker-Dealer Services for BNY Mellon. In this role, he oversaw the company's corporate trust, depositary receipts, shareowner services, global payments, domestic cash management, trade services, broker-dealer clearing and collateral management and hedge fund services business lines. Mr. Rogan has extensive credit, market and operational risk expertise gained through leadership positions in securities servicing and corporate banking. Since joining The Bank of New York in 1981, Mr. Rogan has overseen a number of key business segments, including capital markets, global markets, credit restructuring, securities lending and numerous lending divisions. Mr. Rogan received a B.A. in economics from The University of Rochester and an M.B.A. from the Anderson School of UCLA. |
Craig W. BroderickCraig is the firm's chief risk officer, responsible for credit, market and operational risk, and insurance. He is chairman of the Goldman Sachs Bank Risk Committee, as well as a member of various committees, including the Firmwide Risk Committee and Firmwide Capital Committee. Previously, Craig was chief credit officer until 2008. Prior to that, he was manager of the European Credit effort based in London from 1986 to 1999. Craig joined Goldman Sachs in 1985 in the Credit Department in New York. He was named managing director in 1998 and partner in 2000. Prior to joining the firm, Craig worked at Chase Manhattan Bank. Craig earned a BA in Economics from the College of William and Mary in 1981. |
David ColemanDavid's career stretches more than 30 years in a range of different banking cultures and roles. Until the early 1990's David worked for the UK Bank NatWest in a variety of roles spanning retail and wholesale banking, relationship management, finance, business management and risk. This was followed by 6 years in the US culture of Bankers Trust where he was Senior Vice President/Managing Director and Chief Credit Officer for both the European businesses and on the board of Bankers Trust International PLC. After Bankers trust was acquired by Deutsche Bank, David was initially Head of Credit for Western Europe and then Senior Credit Executive. These roles entailed traded markets, financial institutions and major corporate credit risk management. David has been with RBS since 2001 initially as the Group Chief Credit Officer. More recently he was seconded to ABN Amro as the Chief Credit Officer for the RBS share of the business. David's current role is Chief Risk Officer, Global Markets where he has leadership of 1200 people in over 50 countries providing risk framework, appetite, policy and decision making covering credit risk, market risk, operational risk and regulatory compliance for a business with £700bln assets. David has 2 children. |
Gary Brown is President and Chief Executive Officer of CIBC World Markets Corp., CIBC’s U.S. broker-dealer, and Head of the U.S. Region. As Chair of the U.S. Management Committee, he is responsible for all business and governance functions under a U.S. regional management structure. In April 2008, in addition to his regional duties, Mr. Brown was named Managing Director and Head of Risk – Wholesale Bank with global responsibility for the strategic risk framework and risk processes within the Wholesale Bank Division. Mr. Brown is a member of the Wholesale Bank Management Committee and the Investment and Credit Committees of CIBC. Since joining CIBC in 2001, Mr. Brown served as Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate and Commercial Adjudication, the U.S. credit risk management group. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer – U.S. Region in March 2004 and CEO of the U.S. broker-dealer in September 2004. He serves as Chairman of the various U.S. legal entities, including CIBC Delaware Holdings, Canadian Imperial Holdings, Inc. and CIBC World Markets Corp. From 1980 to 1999, Mr. Brown held a number of senior business and risk management positions with UBS AG, including the position of New York Branch Manager and Head of the Structured Finance division, one of six operating divisions of UBS in the Americas. After the merger with Swiss Bank Corp. was announced in 1997, Mr. Brown was appointed Chief Credit Officer – Americas where he was responsible for capital commitments of the firm and the merging of the credit and risk functions of the two firms. Mr. Brown began his banking career in 1976 with The Chase Manhattan Bank, and after completing the Bank's corporate credit training program became a lending officer in the Commodity Finance division. Immediately prior to joining CIBC, Mr. Brown worked for K2 Digital, Inc., an Internet professional services company, most recently as President and Director. Mr. Brown received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1976 from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma and has attended executive education programs at the Salzburg Institute and Harvard Business School. He serves as Vice Chairman on the Board of Trustees of the Institute of International Bankers, as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mercy College and the Executive Board of Mercy Ships International, a hospital relief organization.
